Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a commercially driven Sales & Marketing Director to lead a digital platform into its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing background, with deep expertise in digital marketing, growth strategies, and monetisation. They will drive revenue, partnerships, and engagement while ensuring that the brand remains a trusted source of information for its audience. Fully remote position with working hours 10am to 6pm.


Our client is a trusted resource for parents and educators, providing essential advice, insights, and support to families navigating the education system. With over 5 million visits per year and a strong social media and newsletter following, the platform is committed to enhancing its services and expanding commercial success under new leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a commercial strategy to drive revenue growth through advertising, partnerships, and new monetisation models.
  • Oversee digital marketing strategies, including SEO, paid media, content marketing, and social media, to enhance traffic and engagement.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships that align with the brand’s mission and growth objectives.
  • Optimise the user experience, ensuring the platform meets the evolving needs of its audience.
  • Lead and manage a small high-performing team, fostering a results-driven and innovative culture.
  • Analyse key performance metrics and use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve ROI.
  • Represent the organisation in the media, at industry events, and in strategic discussions with stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial planning and budgeting to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Ensure the effective development, maintenance, and optimisation of the platform’s website, including experience with WordPress development.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial, marketing, or leadership role, ideally in a digital business.
  • Strong background in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, social media, and email marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in revenue growth, business development, and commercial strategy execution.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse performance metrics and implement improvements.
  • Experience leading teams and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with WordPress development, website management, and optimisation.
  • Experience in digital media advertising and sponsorship is a major plus.
  • Passion for education, parenting, and community-driven businesses is a plus.
